12 day/11 night sacred sisters journey

Day  1 -   Saturday, December 2      Arrival

You will be met at the airport by our tour guide and ground operator. Transfer to our airport hotel for check in and to meet the group. Orientation and opening ceremony.

Overnight Le Meridien Airport Hotel on a Dinner, bed & breakfast basis.

Day  2 -   Sunday, December 3    Temple of Isis at Philae

Early morning flight to Aswan. Temple of Isis at Philae and Lunch at the Soleil Nubian Restaurant on the island of Bigeh, overlooking Philae Island.  Optional afternoon visits to the Papyrus Institute and Spice shop.  

Overnight, Movenpick Hotel, Aswan on a breakfast and lunch basis.

Day 3 – Monday December 4   Elephantine Island and Nubian Village 

Optional early morning bus to Abu Simbel. (You will be back in time to join the rest of the group for the day’s activities)

Check into your room on the M/S Alyssa 5-Star Nile Cruise.  Enjoy lunch together and visit Elephantine Island and boat ride to the Nubian Village.

December 13, Day 1 : Cairo – Bahariya – the White Desert, Crystal Mountain  

You will be transported to the Bahariya Oasis to begin your desert experience.  You will ride in comfortable air-conditioned 4X4 jeeps to begin your events for the day.  This Egyptian Western desert is a treasure trove of wonders.   

After lunch you will be taken to the Black Desert, named for the color of the rocks and mountains located there. These rocks have gained their colors from black quartz that are present within numerous rock formations.

We will continue our trip to the Farafra Oasis, and on our way we visit Crystal Mountain, one of the most famous attractions of the white desert where we’ll see many quartz crystals on the ground as well as within the rocks and stones creating an incredibly magical experience. We’ll continue on to visit the Aqabat section, the road of difficult passage, one of the highlights of the White Desert. 

The highlight of your day will be our visit the internationally famous White Desert, the most visually amazing attraction in the Western Desert of Egypt. Covering a surface area of around three thousand kilometers. It consists of bizarre chalk white rock formations that were once the surface of a shallow sea that covered this area in prehistoric times. The rocks create all sorts of shapes like mushrooms, birds and even a Sphinx, all coming alive at sunset as the rays of the setting sun dances on them, creating a unique and colorful display. The entire area has become a National Park.

At the end of the day, we’ll set up our camp in the desert to enjoy the enchanted atmosphere of the region, watch the dance of the stars of the Milky Way, have an amazing barbeque dinner by the campfire and enjoy an evening under the stars before driving back to our hotel.

December 14, Day 2 : The White Desert  

After having breakfast, we’ll continue our fabulous tour of the Western Desert including visits to some of the most healing and amazing natural hot springs in the area, including one that has been used since Roman times. We’ll have lunch here before we continue our adventure by exploring one of the caves of the White Desert and then observing the beauty of the Santa Acacia Tree, (the ancient Egyptian Tree of Life) considered to be a magic tree that has thrived for hundreds of years.

Dinner will be served by the campfire and we’ll sleep overnight at the hotel.

December 15, Day 3 : Bahariya  -  Cairo  

After breakfast, we’ll be transported back to the airport for your international flight home.

This desert safaris is accompanied by the best, highly educated and experienced tour guides who master the English language and have good communication skills.

PLEASE NOTE: This integration add on is only available to those booked on the full journey. As Francesca and Peta will also be integrating, there will not be any facilitation other than our local guide. We journey as Sacred Sisters intent on savouring peace and quiet and focused on Inner Stillness, Presence and Connection.

Reservation and Payment

A non-refundable deposit of $2 222 USD per person will be required at the time of booking. To ensure your reservation, final payment will be due 65 days prior the departure dates from your Country. It is the responsibility of the traveler to determine that final payment is made on time. Bookings made within 30 days of departure date, will require full and final payment immediately upon booking. No booking will be considered confirmed until the deposit is received. Payments are to be made via PayPal.

Cancellation and Refunds

Due to high preparation costs, cancellations must be received in writing within 65 days of travel date. Cancellations received more than 65 days prior to departure will have a penalty of $2,000.00 per person; those received between 65 and 30 days will have a penalty of 50% per person; Cancellations received 30 days or less before departure will receive no refund. No refund will be made for transfers, city tours or any other services (including meals, accommodations or transportation) voluntarily not taken.

Changes

This itinerary is subject to changes in sequence in order to adapt to possible alterations in domestic flight times or other unforeseen circumstances. The content will remain the same, barring any unanticipated complications, and will include many delightful “extras” and surprises.

INSURANCE:

We highly recommend purchasing a good travel insurance policy that can cover you for any changes, cancellations of flights or during the tour. A good policy also covers you for any unforeseen circumstances as well as damaged or lost luggage and last-minute flight changes. 

We are not responsible for any scenarios that are out of our control, including, but not limited to if you cancel the trip due to illness, if your international flight is delayed or rescheduled and you miss a day of the activities, or if you choose to not participate in any activity. Guests must have a good travel insurance policy to cover them for these instances. 

We also recommend purchasing non-restricted flight tickets – which allows for cancellations and changes. Please send us your International Flight details once you’ve made them, to help us to arrange for your airport transfers within Egypt.  We will have a representative inside the Cairo Airport to assist you with obtaining your entry visa (for the cost of 25.00 USD per person), and through customs before transporting you to our hotel.
